Nate Dogg Released on $50k Bail - AllHipHop

Nate Dogg Released on $50k Bail

California crooner Nate Dogg has been released from the Twin Towers jail in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning (Jun 24), after posting a $50,000 bond, AllHipHop.com has learned exclusively.   The 38-year-old singer was picked up by the California Highway Patrol around 8:30 am the previous day, after an exchange with his estranged wife on Interstate 405.   On Monday (Jun 23) Nate, born Nathaniel Hale, was charged with one count of making terrorist threats and one charge of driving with a suspended license following an exchange with his wife.   According to a statement released by the CHP, a 911 call was received by a woman who identified herself as the singer’s wife. The caller indicated that her husband had threatened to kill her and was chasing her in his car heading north on the 405.   Officers proceeded to intercept the two vehicles, and upon investigation, found that the unnamed victim’s statements and fears were justified. Nate was arrested at 8:30 am.   He was taken to the L.A. County Medical Ward at Twin Towers to undergo medical evaluation before being released into the general inmate population.   At press time, he had been moved to the Inmate Reception Center to await his release.   In March, the singer, who has delivered hooks for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and Eve, pleaded guilty to aggravated trespassing and battery charges in an Orange County, CA courtroom.   The charges stemmed from an incident in which Nate was accused of breaking into an ex-girlfriend’s Huntington Beach home and punching her boyfriend in the face.   In 2001, he was also charged with possession of an unmarked gun, after allegedly kidnapping an ex-girlfriend and setting her mother’s car on fire.   He also pleaded guilty to that charge.
