North Carolina Hip-Hop
collective The Justus League is getting ready to release a steady stream of albums
over this summer.
In addition to the already
strong buzz the League has gotten from Little Brother and producer 9th Wonder’s
various spots, Hall of Justice Music Group and 6 Hole Records recently released
albums by The Away Team and L.E.G.A.C.Y.
The Away Team – rapper Sean
Boog and producer Khrysis – dropped their debut, National Anthem, in
reflection of their east coast roots. The album features guest appearances from
Joe Scudda, Chaundon and Big Pooh and Phonte from Little Brother.
Raleigh, North Carolina
resident L.E.G.A.C.Y. (Life Ends Gradually And Changes You) has crafted his
debut Project Mayhem in the vein of his vast musical influences, which
include LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain.
"Hip-Hop kept me out
of trouble,” L.E.G.A.C.Y. told AllHipHop.com. "It taught me respect
for myself and allowed me to earn the respect of others along the way."
Joe Scudda’s debut Open
