Rap star Nelly recently filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court, alleging that a luxury car dealership in New York cheated him out of over $30,000.
The rapper is seeking $37,000 from Manhattan Motorcars Inc. for breach of contract, fraud and unfair trade practices.
While the filing did not specify why Manhattan Motorcars, which sells luxury Bentleys and Porsches, breached their contract with the rapper, Nelly is seeking $37,195, punitive damages and attorneys’ fees.
In related news, Nelly’s single “Grillz,” featuring Houston’s Paul Wall and Ali & Gipp topped Billboard’s Ringtone chart for a third week, besting ringers by The Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West and others.
