Nelly will become the first rapper to participate
in the "Got Milk" Milk Mustache campaign, which in the past has featured
such celebrities as Tyra Banks, Venus and Serena Williams, MTV host Carson Daly
and others.
Nelly’s ad will premiere in the December 6 issue
of Rolling Stone magazine. His advertising copy will appear as a tattoo on his
chest and will read "Nine essential nutrients, what active bodies need.
got milk?" – illustrating that good nutrition, including drinking milk,
is engraved in his hip-hop lifestyle.
"If you’re always on the go like me, a glass
of milk helps boost you up and helps you build the bones you need … strong
bones," Nelly told AllHipHop.com in a statement.
The National Academy of Sciences recommends
teenagers get at least 1,300 milligrams of calcium per day, the equivalent of
at least four 8-ounce glasses of milk.
