(AllHipHop News) The new Hip Hop documentary series Rapture will begin streaming on Netflix later this month. The digital content giant is giving the public the chance to see a sneak peek of the Mass Appeal produced series.
One episode centers around rapper/actor Tip “T.I.” Harris’ journey to becoming a wiser man. The program also follows Hip Hop legend Nas and his musical protégé Dave East.
Other rap acts set to appear on Rapture include 2 Chainz, Logic, Rapsody, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Just Blaze, and G-Eazy. The audience will get a glimpse into those artists’ respective personal and professional lives.
“Way back, when Hip Hop culture was in its gestational phase, the powerful message therein didn’t go much further than the five boroughs of New York City. Today, rap music is the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and Netflix is the embodiment of the eyes from which she sees,” stated executive producer Sacha Jenkins.
Rapture arrives March 30 on Netflix. The T.I. and Nas episodes will premiere at the SXSW Festival on Saturday, March 17.
