(AllHipHop News) Netflix has more Hip Hop based content coming to the platform. Roxanne Roxanne, the story of 1980s era New York emcee L##### “Roxanne Shanté” Gooden, will begin streaming on March 23.
Michael Larnell directed and wrote Roxanne Roxanne. The film stars Chanté Adams, Nia Long, Mahershala Ali, Elvis Nolasco, Kevin Phillips, Shenell Edmonds, and Adam Horovitz.
The biopic screened at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Adams’ portrayal of Shanté won the Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Performance at the Utah event.
