Following in the trend of Hip-Hop DVDs, Firestorm Media, a company based in Delaware and Baltimore recently lunged in to the realm with a video that will guide young producers in the ways of crafting sonic backdrops.
Hot Trax Production Magazine, the DVD, will serve as a template for aspiring and seasoned producers to establish a long lasting reputation in the genre.
“If you currently make beats, want to make beats, or just love hot beats in general, Episode #1 is a great starting point for you,” company founder Sonic told AllHipHop.com. “We’ve gathered some of the most legendary and hottest up and comers in the game. These are detailed sit-down interviews. We wanted viewers to walk away satisfied that they got to really have an exclusive view of these people and learn.”
Features include interviews with producers Easy Mo Bee, Charlemagne, Midi Mafia, Dame Grease, Phantom of the Beat among others. The DVD also offers legal advice from music Attorney James Elam who has claimed for the likes of Freeway, Jill Scott and Musiq. “He details every way in which producers get [paid] as well as what pitfalls to avoid.” Sonic lamented.
In addition, each installment of the DVD will be scored in its entirety with exclusive instrumentals from the producers featured in the accompanying issue. The second episode of Hot Trax Magazine which is scheduled showcase the market of video production with behind the scenes footage of the Diplomats latest video to is slated to hit stores Spring 2005.
