New Skool Rules Announces New Festival Dates, Expanded Conference

One of the biggest international festivals is ready for a bigger 2020 – New Skool Rules May 29th – 31st 2020!

(AllHipHop News) New Skool Rules, one of the biggest international festivals, has revealed the dates for the 2020 event. 

The Rotterdam, Netherlands-based event is set for New Skool Rules May 29th – 31st 2020 and the organizers are planning to expand the offerings of the conference. 

New Skool Rules will celebrate their 8th edition since beginning in 2009. 

“Every year we bring the most influential Movers & Shakers in the Music Industry to the Netherlands, to sit on panels and scout the best new producers, songwriters, artists,” said the organizers in a statement. “New Skool Rules has proven to be that place where the next big international star is discovered.” 

New Skool Rules alumni have helped notables like Nico & Vinz (“Am I Wrong”), R.City (“Locked Away” featuring Adam Levine), Fais (“Afrojack called HEY”) and Nicole Bus (who contributed to the New Skool Rules anthem), who scored her first Number 1 song on Billboard.

In 2020, New Skool Rules will offer more showcases, panels, workshops, masterclasses and even demo listening sessions, auditions and jam sessions with aspirants. Before the festival/conference, New Skool Rules will host five “major” writing camps with over 200 creatives “from all over the world.”

In addition, the festival offers a boat ride along the Rotterdam Harbour that has been a favorite of attendees. 

Last year, more than 1800 delegates participated in New Skool Rules and more than 7,500 people attended the festival.

Representatives from AllHipHop, Def Jam, Atlantic Records, Universal Music, Epic, Motown, Roc Nation, Sony ATV, Spinnin’ Records, Universal Music Publishing, Warner Music, Warner Chappell and more have participated in the event. 

“New Skool Rules 2020 is promising to bring even more and bigger movers and shakers,’ a statement read.
