Famed DJ, Kid Capri has joined the list of high profile Hip-Hop acts that have their own sneaker line and revealed to AllHipHop.com a partnership with Italian company, Diadora.”At first Diadora wanted Ludacris, but my man Yomi [Martin] that runs Vokal [Nelly’s clothing line] also works for Diadora and he told them he wanted me,” Kid Capri told AllHipHop.com. “We did it, now I have 27,000 sneakers sold to retailers without any promotion or product out yet.”The sneak is dubbed the “K.C. Steppa” and is part of Diadora’s “The Streets: Heritage” sneaker line.”I think it’s gonna do well because it’s a hot shoe and it’s plain just like the hood likes it,” Capri added.In related news, the DJ has launched his own imprint with Def Jam, No Kid’n Records and is preparing new releases by artists Red Handed and Natalie.In addition to the new artists, Capri will also release a documentary DVD on his life off camera.
