New Zealand Man Who Complained About OFWGKTA Receiving Death Threats

MAN WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT ODD FUTURE IN NEW ZEALAND GETS DEATH THREATS!

(AllHipHop News) The man whose complaints resulted in Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All being booted from The Big Day Out in Auckland, New Zealand, is receiving death threats, he has revealed.

Calum Bennachie is the name of the man who reported Odd Future’s planned appearance to the Auckland City Council, which controls the stadium where The Big Day Out is taking place.

Bennachie has issues with Odd Future’s lyrics, which he has labeled misogynistic and homophobic.

Since the group has been pulled from the festival, Bennachie said that he has received over a dozen death threats.

“Too often gay men are targeted as objects of violence or ridicule in the streets, the perpetrators feeling safe in doing so because of the messages in hate music,” Bennachie told the New Zealand Herald. “I hope that by now, Big Day Out have learned their lesson, and will not continue to bring over music that specifically threatens people with violence.”

Although the group has been banned from the show, rumors are circulating that Odd Future will host their own concert around the same time of the Auckland The Big Day Out date, which takes place on January 20.
