Noah “40” Shebib Talks Kanye West Being Credited On Drake’s “Two Birds, One Stone”

DID YE ACTUALLY ASSIST DRIZZY IN DISSING PUSHA T & KID CUDI?

(AllHipHop News) The Hip Hop blogosphere went wild when reports began circulating that Kanye West’s name was mentioned in the credits for Drake’s “Two Birds, One Stone.”

The media firestorm centered around speculation Drizzy used the cut to take shots at G.O.O.D. Music associates Pusha T and Kid Cudi.

Observers began questioning why would Kanye “co-write” a record that supposedly dissed his own G.O.O.D. president Pusha and longtime collaborator Cudi?

Genius spoke to Noah “40” Shebib – Drake’s right-hand production partner – to get some information about the Ye connection.

“Me and Kanye produced the track,” said 40. “I made it from some drums he had given me. Not quite the elaborate story the world is looking for.”

Writing credit on a song could be given to a contributor that actually pens the lyrics as well as producers, instrumentalists, and the original creators of any samples used on a track.

According to Tidal, both 40 and Kanye are listed as a “producer,” “composer” and “lyricist” for “Two Birds, One Stone.”
