(AllHipHop News) An NYPD Sergeant caught up in a drug ring with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods is hoping to score a plea deal with the government.
Robinson was not part of the government’s RICO case against the gang, but she was also charged on November 19, 2018.
The Feds say they have evidence Sergeant Robinson helped members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, by smuggling heroin into Brooklyn on three separate occasions in the summer of 2018.
The NYPD did not publicize Robinson’s arrest, but details of her alleged involvement in the drug ring became public during the trials of Nine Trey members Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison.
During the three-week trial, Cruz testified under oath that Sgt. Robinson was the girlfriend of one of his gang associates.
Sergeant Robinson worked for the Housing Bureau and oversaw almost two-dozen housing projects throughout Brooklyn.
The alleged relationship helped gangmembers get heroin into the borough, which was then sold by members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, including Tekashi 6ix9ine, who admitted to selling a kilo of heroin just before the gang was rounded up.
Sergeant Robinson was due in court yesterday (October 28), but a judge granted her lawyer’s request to push the next hearing date back to November 25, 2019.
“The additional time is necessary for the parties to complete their plea negotiations,” Sgt. Robinson’s lawyer Justine Harris told Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein.
She has been suspended from the NYPD and is free on $100,000 bail as she awaits the outcome of her case.
