(AllHipHop News) Current owner of Detroit’s Hip Hop Shop, Keith B. Hudson, 41, is now facing the possibility of life in prison.
Hudson has been charged with first-degree murder by a Wayne Count prosecutor.
According to Michigan Live, Hudson, who held a valid CPL, shot and killed Marcel Dubose, 26, about 9:20 p.m. October 10.
Hudson told police the shooting was an act of self-defense after Dubose allegedly told him to “run” his “pockets” and threatened to hit him with a brick.
Hudson’s allegations were not enough for prosecutor Kym Worthy and now Hudson faces a first-degree murder charge along with manslaughter and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Detroit’s Hip Hop Shop developed a reputation in the city as a proving ground for many successful Hip Hop artist like Eminem, D12, and J. Dilla.
