VH1 is starting
production on a new Surreal Life spin-off titled The Surreal Life
Fame Games, which reunites ten previous cast members in Las Vegas.
Fame Games
will be a ten-episode elimination contest featuring cast members from the
original series, who will have their "Hollywood survival skills challenged"
for the $100,000 grand prize.
The show will
be hosted by Robin Leach, of the classic television show Lifestyles Of The
Rich And Famous.
Rappers Pepa (Season
5) of Salt-N-Pepa fame, Vanilla Ice (Season 2), Ron Jeremy (Season 2), Tracy
Bingham, (Season 2), Emmanuel Lewis (Season 2) and wrestler Chyna Doll (Season
4) are among the participants in the new series.
"It’ll be
enormous fun to bring all of these larger than life Surreal celebrities to live
together in one place as they compete for the grand prize," said series
Executive Producer and co-creator Mark Cronin. "There’s no way there won’t
be fireworks."
Competitions include
the "Red Carpet Fashion Showdown," "Paparazzi Hide-and-Seek"
and "Hotel Room Trash-a-thon."
The show is slated
to debut later this year.
