In related news, LL has signed on the remake the 1975 blaxploitation flick, “Dolemite.” LL will play Dolemite as a nightclub owner, who ends up in prison when a rival plants drugs in his nightclub. When he is released from prison, he finds his rival doing the dealing out of his old club. In LL’s version, he will have 3 female bodyguards to help him in his effort to rid the town of the drug dealers. Last year, four studios competed for the rights to remake the “Dolemite” movie and movie studio Dimension won those rights. Rudy Ray Moore will make a cameo appearance in the remake.
