Queen Latifah has
signed on to produce a family comedy titled “Kidnapped” starring James
“Lil’ J.J.” Lewis.
The movie is based on a script penned by J. Alexander Smith
and is being produced by Latifah’s company Flavor Unit along with Flavor
Unit’s Latee French and Shakim Compere.
The movie centers around three children who are kidnapped after
their parents hit the lottery and is directed by Ryan Smith and Frank Borin,
who have shot videos for Eminem, Good Charlotte and Cypress Hill.
Bobbe J Thompson, who played Gary Coleman in “Behind the
Camera: The Unauthorized Story of ’Diff’rent Strokes,” is
also attached to the film, which will go into production shortly.
Flavor Unit has
produced such flicks as “Bringing Down the House,” “Beauty
Shop,” “Bad Girls,” “The Cookout” and others.
