(AllHipHop News) Grammy winning artist Questlove of The Roots will be putting down the spins for the National Park Service’s 100 year birthday bash in New York.
The celebration is scheduled for Monday, August 22 at 7 PM at Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 1.
Festivities marking the organization’s centennial will include musical performances from kid-friendly band, Ramblin’ Dan, Questlove, and an unrevealed performer.
In addition, opening the day’s events will be an ice cream social courtesy of the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory.
This is sure to be a night to remember for all in attendance, since Bill Nye the famous science guy will be hosting the the first interactive experience ever which will allow participants to control the color of the One World Trade Center spire using a giant digital circuit boar.
Questlove will be closing festivities for the night with his DJ set scheduled to commence from 8-10 p.m.
