R. Kelly’s History Of Intimidating Witnesses Keeps Him Locked Up

A judge says R. Kelly is a danger to witnesses and ordered him locked up until his trial in 2020.

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s bid to get out of jail has failed, and he will remain locked up until his trial in 2020.

Last week R. Kelly’s lawyers attempted to spring the rapper from the Cook County Prison, citing several health ailments.

His attorneys insisted R. Kelly was not getting sufficient medical treatment for paralysis in his hand, stress, and an untreated hernia.

A judge has just rejected R. Kelly’s release, because the singer is a flight risk.

And since R. Kelly has a history of obstructing justice, home confinement would not stop him from trying to threaten witnesses in the case.

In June of 2019, R. Kelly’s former manager James Mason was indicted and charged with one felony count for threatening Timothy Savage.

Timothy Savage is the father of one R. Kelly’s girlfriends.

In a May 2018 phone call, Mason told Timothy Savage, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f##king kill you.”

Joycelyn Savage’s family alleges she has been brainwashed and victimized by R. Kelly, who supposedly runs a sex cult.

The 52-year-old Chicago native has pleaded not guilty to 18 felony counts for sexually abusing minors.

According to reports, a trial date for R. Kelly has been set for May 18, 2020 and he will remain locked up until then.
