bred rapper Fat Joe has signed on to star in "Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon."
The "Max Havoc" franchise will spawn off three films. The first one
that features Fat Joe centers around a former extreme fighter and co-stars Mickey
Hardt, Carmen Electra and Taiwanese actress Qi-Shu. The film starts shooting
May 3 on the island of Guam….

last night, Canada’s equivalent to a Grammy Award, for his album Flagrant.
The album snagged Best Recording of the Year. 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin‘
was named best international album over Evanescence’s Fallen. 50 Cent
lost out to the group at the Grammy Awards and protested by walking on the stage
during the rock group’s acceptance speech. He also vowed to never return to

The 2nd Annual International Human
Beatbox Convention will kick off April 23 in New York City. Beatboxers from
America, Russia, London, Switzerland, Japan and Germany will attend the event,
which features a keynote speech delivered via prerecorded video tape by beatboxing

After being criticized for spending
$26,000 to send two people to study Hip-Hop abroad, New Zealand’s government is
under fire amid claims that Christ Church-based organization Otautahi Maori
Women’s Welfare League used Community Employment Agency (CEG) money to pay for
a $10,000 strip performance by a revue group. In 2001, Otautahi president Aroha
Reriti-Crofts described the “Kiwi Fire” performance as "high-class entertainment."

South Africa’s first female Hip-Hop
group Godessa will drop their first album, Spillage. The album features
13 songs. "We produce conscious Hip-Hop about bread-and-butter issues that
concern us daily," said 24-year-old group member Burni.
