(AllHipHop News) Rapper and reality TV star Gunplay is facing a new lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend following an alleged attack on New Year’s Day.

The “Love and Hip Hop: Miami” star is said to have exchanged heated words with Aneka Johnston at Florida adult club The Office, where she works as a stripper, in the early hours of 1 January after he arrived with his current girlfriend, Keyara.

Gunplay, real name Richard Morales, Jr., is then said to have waited in the parking lot for Johnston’s shift to end, before reportedly confronting her and head-butting his ex.

She suffered bruising to her face and neck, and a scratched cornea, and subsequently filed a police report about the alleged incident.

Criminal charges are currently being weighed by prosecutors at the Florida State Attorney’s office, but now Johnston has also taken civil action against the rapper, who is signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group.

According to reports, Aneka Johnston has filed papers in Miami-Dade County court, claiming Gunplay was also “known to act violently” towards her throughout their two-year relationship, which ended in 2012.

She blames his “harmful and destructive behavior” for breaking off their romance, and is now suing for battery over the strip club incident, seeking punitive damages for bodily injury, mental anguish, and pain and suffering.

Her attorney, Mark DiCowden, told TheBlast that “Gunplay has a long history of committing violence and domestic abuse. He has made a living out of glorifying crime and harmful conduct on people, including women.

“Ms. Johnston was working and didn’t deserve to be attacked. She has previously been a victim of Gunplay’s domestic violence and ended her relationship with him years ago because of his ongoing abuse.”

DiCowden hopes the lawsuit will “send Gunplay a message and deter his misbehavior in the future”.

The MC has yet to respond to the battery allegations or the lawsuit.
