(AllHipHop News) An arrest warrant has been issued for rapper Young Thug over gun and drug charges.
Young Thug was stopped by Georgia police officers in September, 2017 for driving around in a vehicle with illegally tinted front windows, and during the traffic stop, cops allegedly found marijuana and guns.
The rap star was booked on a felony drug count and a misdemeanor for the tinted windows, and during a court appearance, he was was also hit with a felony charge for gun possession.
Last week, it was reported he was facing another felony charge for drug possession for narcotics and liquid codeine and possession and intent to distribute methamphetamine, hydrocodone, and marijuana, bringing the total charges to eight felonies.
A warrant has now been issued for his arrest in connection to the charges. The rapper has yet to comment on the warrant.
Young Thug, real name Jeffery Williams, is also dealing with issues stemming from an incident outside his 27th birthday party in Hollywood last month, when the rapper’s car was reportedly pulled over by cops after allegedly bumping into another vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, several guns were found.
Williams is reportedly contesting law enforcement officials’ account of the incident and claims he and his crew were not in the car when it was pulled over.
An insider has also said two of Young Thug’s associates had permits allowing them to carry weapons.
