(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross stopped by The Wendy Williams Show this week, and the daytime talk show host questioned him about several topics.
Williams brought up songs from Ross’ latest album, Rather You Than Me, that mentioned fellow Hip Hop acts Birdman, Meek Mill, and Nicki Minaj.
“We’re setting the precedent right now for the future, and that’s not what we want them to see,” stated Ross when asked why he addressed Birdman’s business tactics on his song “Idols Become Rivals.”
Ross made it clear he does not have a relationship with Birdman at the moment.
“I always looked up to the homie. Just to see artists that were that close to him suffer in that position – I ain’t with that,” explained Ross on his concerns about Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled’s financial issues with the Cash Money Records co-founder.
The Miami representative also spoke about rapping “I told Meek, ‘I wouldn’t trust Nicki'” on “Apple Of My Eye.”
“Just that big brother love,” responded Ross to a question about what exactly he told Meek. “It wasn’t nothing personal against Nicki. It could’ve been Keisha off the block.”
He continued, “That was just me being a big brother. That was just my opinion – be careful. Sometimes you have to just let your little brother live. You can’t stop your little brother from living. You just give your advice and support them no matter what decision they make.”
