Rick Ross To Walk Roy Jones Jr. To Ring

Carol City, Florida native Rick Ross has been confirmed to walk eight-time world champ Roy Jones Jr. to the ring to face Felix “Tito” Trinidad during the “Bring on the Titans” boxing event, AllHipHop.com has learned.   The highly anticipated “Bring on the Titans” Pay-Per-View boxing match takes place this Saturday (January 19) at Madison Square Garden in New York.   A portion of the proceeds of the event will be donated to charity.   Ross and Jones have teamed to help raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.   Jones and Trinidad have already donated $50,000 each to Komen for the Cure, which raises awareness regarding breast cancer.   “I mentioned to Don that we should try to do something to help, and like everything else he has taken the ball and is running with it.” Jones, an illustrious eight-time world champion, said. “I’m so happy to be able to help in any way I can to KO cancer. This is a fight that will never end until we conquer this disease that has taken so much from so many.”   Ross’ appearance on the “Bring on the Titans” HBO pay-per-view event will broadcast the rapper to over 61 million homes when it airs at 9 pm on Jan. 19.   Rick Ross’ sophomore album Trilla is due in stores February 19th.
