As the attempted murder case of Roc-A-Fella rapper Beanie Sigel comes to a close, label CEO Dame Dash has released a statement proclaiming support for the Philadelphia rapper. A verdict is expected as early as tomorrow (Wednesday April 21).
Of a trip to the Court of Common Pleas Monday, Dash says, “My partners Jay-Z, Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke and I appeared in a Philadelphia court today in a show of solidarity and support for our good friend and great artist Beanie Sigel. Roc-A-Fella is and always has been a family, and family is there for each other. We have been there as Beans has developed into a million-selling artist, encouraged and supported him in his growing entrepreneurship, helped him launch a successful clothing label, watched him flourish as an incredible actor. We are there for him now, and will be regardless of the road ahead. We look forward to working with our brother Beans in releasing more great records, great films and other projects in the future, and will always support him in all his struggles, endeavors and triumphs.”
Sigel also faces about three years in separate case where he plead guilty to gun and drug charges last week. The rapper will be sentenced on July 8 in that case.
