Fans think the “Peaches & Eggplants (Remix)” collaborators are beefing.

Some social media users believe there could be some rising tension between Latto and Sexyy Red. The two rappers became the talk of the internet this week as fans questioned if subliminal shots have been thrown.

The rumored beef began after Latto shared a few photos of herself in True Religion apparel at an Atlanta-themed party. Sexyy Red, 25, then reposted an Instagram Story that called out celebrities for wearing the decades-old brand after the St. Louis native hit the scene.

As speculation about the drama spread across the internet, Sexyy Red decided to openly address the topic. The “Pound Town” performer tweeted, “Definitely not shading her, I’m direct [with] it whatever I gotta say.”

In addition, Latto took to the X platform in order to give her side of the situation. The 24-year-old 777 album creator retweeted old pictures and videos of herself in True Religion from last year.

After another X user blasted Latto for defending herself, the “Issa Party” rhymer wrote in response, “No, what’s crazy is y’all accuse me of copying any and [everything] and when I prove y’all wrong I’m doing tewww muchhhh.”

Sexyy Red broke out on a national level earlier this year when “Pound Town” became a Billboard Hot 100 hit, peaking at No. 66. She also recently teamed up with Latto for “Peaches & Eggplants (Remix)” by Young Nudy.
