“Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” rapper Silentó is facing serious legal issues. The 23-year-old born Ricky Lamar Hawk was arrested in Georgia for the felony murder of his cousin, 34-year-old Frederick Rooks.
DeKalb County police reportedly found Rooks dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Detectives are said to be investigating a potential motive for the killing.

Chanel Hudson, a publicist connected to Silentó, has released a statement on Instagram about the entertainer’s arrest. The Atlanta resident informed her IG followers that Silentó has allegedly been battling mental health issues.
The self-described PR manager wrote:

We will continue in his efforts of treatment, but we ask in the meantime the public uplift him and his family in immediate prayer & positive energy!! Silentó has dealt with legal trouble multiple times over the last few months. He was arrested twice in August 2020 on domestic violence and gun charges in California. In late October, the Stone Mountain native was jailed for driving 143 mph in a 65 mph zone in Dekalb County.
