Snoop Dogg Praises Donald Trump For Freeing Death Row Records Co-Founder Harry-O

For years, Snoop Dogg was one of the most outspoken detractors of Donald Trump and his controversial presidency. The Hip Hop legend is now reportedly thankful that the ex-POTUS granted clemency to Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris.

After mimicking shooting a Trump lookalike in BADBADNOTGOOD’s “Lavender (Nightfall Remix)” music video and calling Trump a liar for his statements about the COVID-19 pandemic, Snoop quietly worked with White House aides as well as criminal justice reform advocates Alice Johnson and Weldon Angelos to secure a presidential pardon for Harris. Snoop and Harry-O apparently spoke via Zoom on Sunday.

“That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out. They did some great work while they [were] in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did,” Snoop reportedly said about the Trump Administration during the Zoom conference.

Harris received a 25-years-to-life sentence for first-degree attempted murder and cocaine trafficking. The 59-year-old man spent 32 years behind bars. He was not scheduled to be released from prison until June 13, 2028. In the early 1990s, Harris played a role in financing Death Row Records, which was once the music label home of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, and other acts.

“He was railroaded, doing his time twice. Doing all this time in the State and then the Fed (afterward), but it wasn’t running [concurrently] like it was supposed to,” Angelos explained to AllHipHop.com about Harry-O’s situation. “And so he had to do all this time over again. This is definitely an injustice they corrected today. Out of all this drama going on with the White House, something good has [come] out of this.”
