(AllHipHop News) Rapper Snoop Dogg has been recruited to star in a set of tutorial videos for the National Hockey League (NHL).
In the “Snoop 101” clips, the rap star explains ice hockey to those who are not necessarily big fans of the sport.
“One of the things we noticed when Snoop came to our All-Star game a couple years ago in Los Angeles was not only is he Snoop and everybody loves him, but he really loves hockey,” NHL executive vice president Steve Mayer tells Deadline. “He knows the players, he knows the game, and we started talking back then about how he feels like he can help promote the game.”
The first video premiered on the NHL’s social media channels and NHL.com and the other promos will be released throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which kick off this week.
