(AllHipHop News) Jailed rap mogul Suge Knight has signed over the rights to his life to longtime pal Ray J.
The Death Row Records co-founder, real name Marion Hugh Knight, Jr., is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter, after striking a plea deal with prosecutors over the 2015 hit-and-run incident in a Los Angeles parking lot that cost Terry Carter his life and left another man injured.
According to TMZ, Suge has signed over his life rights to Ray, with the expectation he’ll strike several deals for film, TV and book publications to make some money for him and his family while he’s behind bars.
Sources told the publication a documentary on Suge, his protege Tupac Shakur and his famous record label is already being developed, and there are reportedly discussions about resurrecting the company.
While it is claimed the latter would require additional investors, “One Wish” hitmaker Ray is reportedly exploring the venture.
Ray, full name William Raymond Norwood, Jr., already operates his own business under William Ray LA, and earlier this year reportedly inked a million-dollar deal to convince investors to bankroll legal marijuana startup companies.
