Canadian hip-hop group Swollen
Members
topped the MuchMusic Video awards in Canada on Sunday (June16), taking home four awards. The group won awards for best director, best rap
video, best independent video and a VideoFact Award. The group also won a Juno
award last year, Canada’s equivalent to a Grammy.
The show was not your typical show. With presenters
such as Vince Carter and Pamela Anderson, guests were treated to wine and food,
but there were no seats. Fans and celebrities mingled at the awards show, which
started in 1989. Originally scheduled for September of last year, the awards
were postponed due to the September 11th terror attacks.
