(AllHipHop News) Police in DeKalb County, Georgia are investigating a local rapper, who allegedly punched a student during an impromptu visit.
Local rapper Lil Tripp popped up at a homecoming event at Ronald E. McNair High School on Friday (October 4).
During his performance, Lil Tripp made it rain on the excited students who scrambled for the money.
During the fracas, Lil Tripp allegedly got into a fight and punched a student in the face.
While the performance was not cleared by district officials, a teacher did invite Lil Tripp to perform.
Now, that teacher is facing disciplinary actions over the alleged assault.
“School administrators were not aware that a McNair High School teacher invited the rapper,” district officials told the AJC. “He was not hired by the school and did not receive compensation. The school’s normal security plan was in place, and includes all staff assigned to locations in the gym and at entry and exit points.”
The teacher is not the only person to face disciplinary action.
The police have opened an active investigation into Lil Tripp’s alleged assault on the student.
