(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine’s older brother Oscar has surfaced to voice his opinion on why his sibling should be kept out of prison when he is sentenced later this month.
Oscar Hernandez says his younger brother was traumatized by the death of his step-father, who was murdered in front of the family home in Brooklyn when the rapper was just 13-years-old.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, was briefly institutionalized sometime between 2011-2012, as he dealt with post-traumatic stress disorder and depression from the shooting.
“My step-father was killed a block away from our home, and I quickly had to assume the role of man of the house,” Oscar Hernandez explained. “I was busy working many odd jobs to try and make ends meet, but Daniel was left without a father figure and choose a different path that not only afforded his rise to superstardom but made him a magnet for people with malicious intent.”
The young teen who would become Tekashi 6ix9ine dropped out of high school and started working at the Stay Fresh Deli in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
The rapper met with the government on 26 different occasions to help the feds prosecute the Godfather of Nine Trey, as well as top members Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, Roland “Ro Murda” Martin, Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack.

6ix9ine’s brother Oscar is the judge to spare his brother, who offered unprecedented cooperation with the government against a dozen members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods during the RICO trial in October of 2019.
“My diabetic mother hasn’t been the same since his arrest and awaits his return every single day. His five-year-old, Saraiyah, misses him very much and needs her father, a role that I realize no one can replace,” Oscar Hernandez explained.
Oscar Hernandez wants Judge Paul Englemayer to sentence Tekashi 6ix9ine to time served.
“I’m certain he can change not only the lives of the kids in our community but those around the world,” Oscar Hernandez said.
Tekashi 6ix9ine will be sentenced on December 18th.
