CHESTER HANKS SAYS NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL HIM HE CANNOT USE THE OFFENSIVE TERM
It’s no secret that African-Americans feel disrespected when other races say the N-word, but Tom Hanks’ son could care less. Chester Hanks, who is an aspiring rapper who goes by Chet Haze, recently took to his Instagram to let critics know that he will say that word whenever he likes.
“We have also reached a point where the word can no longer have a negative connotation if we so choose,” he wrote in a lengthy caption under a video. “And who is to say only black people can use it? The way I see it, it’s a word that unifies the culture of HIP-HOP across ALL RACES, which is actually kind of a beautiful thing.”
In another picture he posted with rapper Chill Akill, he wrote “I do say the n word in real life amongst my black friends who get me and can’t nobody tell me I can’t say what the f### I feel like no disrespect to the struggle of black ppl during the civil rights movement but it’s 2015 now.”
