(AllHipHop News) The executors of rap legend Tupac Shakur’s estate will fulfill his dream of opening Powamekka Cafe in New York this week.
The “California Love” hitmaker scribbled his ideas for the concept cafe in his private notebook and on Friday (April 7), Tupac’s dream will become reality when the Powamekka Cafe takes over restaurant Sweet Chick from April 7 to April 9.
The rapper’s childhood photos and memorabilia will be on display and his favorite meals, meatloaf, gumbo, and his cousin’s fried chicken wings will be among the items on the menu.
“Tupac’s creative vision was limitless,” a press release from trustee Tom Whalley reads. “He was constantly working on ideas and plans that reached far beyond music and film.
“One of the things he was extremely passionate about was opening a restaurant; he even sketched out plans and a concept for a menu. We are proud to bring Tupac’s Powamekka Cafe to life.”
The restaurant launch comes as the rapper is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in New York on Friday night (April 7). He’ll join Pearl Jam, Yes, and Journey among the Class of 2017.
