(AllHipHop News) One of the founding members of Tupac’s legendary group The Outlawz is blasting the late rapper’s estate in a new exclusive letter sent to AllHipHop.com.
Young Noble, was a member of The Outlawz, along with his Pac’s Mopreme Shakur, Hussein Fatal, Big Syke, Napoleon, Kastro, Storm, Yaki Kadafi, E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble.
Young Noble claims the executors of Pac’s estate ripped off Afeni and the group off for years, while simultaneously blackballing the Hip-Hop act from any meaningful role in Tupac’s career, including his recent inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2017.
Young Noble claims a longtime lawyer for the Estate of Tupac Shakur had consistently railroaded their involvement in a number of high-profile projects during the late rapper, including his high-profile induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month.
“Just as recent as the 2pac induction into The [Rock & Roll] Hall of Fame [on] April 7, 2017, the 2pac estate blocked The Outlawz from performing at this historical concert,” Young Noble told AllHipHop.com relaying how the events transpired.
“I get a call from Treach of Naughty by Nature the day before the Hall of Fame concert in Brooklyn and he asked me was we gonna be there to perform because they called him to perform ‘Hail Mary,’” Young Noble continued. “He was real mad and felt it was total disrespect that they didn’t call The Outlawz to perform our own song.”
To make matters worse, The Outlawz were not even invited to the event, so group member E.D.I. Mean, who has known Tupac since he was a child, purchased his own tickets to the ceremony.
When Treach, who was also very close with Tupac got wind of the disrespect, he was furious, Young Noble told AllHipHop.com.
“Treach said he bringing EDI on stage with him to perform ‘Hail Mary’ and they do soundcheck rehearsal with Edi & Treach on stage. Soon as they get off stage Treach gets a call from HBO because they taping the show for a HBO special and they tell Treach if E.D.I. is on stage with him they gonna cut his performance because they just got a call from 2pac Estate’s and they don’t want E.D.I. on stage. E.D.I. been knowing 2pac since they was lil kids. If it’s 1 person in this whole world that deserve to be on stage honoring 2pac its E.D.I.,” Young Noble told AllHipHop.com.
Shortly after the death of Tupac was killed in Las Vegas, Outlawz group member Yaki Kadafi was shot down in New Jersey in 1996, while Hussein Fatal also passed away in a car accident in July of 2015 while driving in George.
Tupac’s mom passed in May of 2016 at the age of 69 and in December of 2016, Big Syke died at his home in California.
