Two men have been
arrested in connection with the murder of aspiring rapper and "Steve Harvey
Show" actor Merlin Santana. Police arrested Brandon Bynes, 23 and Damien
Gates, 20, yesterday (Nov 21).
The two men were
arrested for investigation of murder and are being held without bail. Police
said that a verbal exchange created a "grudge" between Santana and
his friend and the two male suspects. The men were carrying guns when they were
arrested.
Murder charges
were also filed against an unnamed 15-year-old girl, who was apprehended by
police last week. The girl, whose identity is being withheld because of her
age, will be back in court December 10. A judge will decide if she will be tried
as a juvenile or an adult.
Santana was preparing
a career in rap when he was tragically murdered November 9 in South Central
Los Angeles.
