According to LYVEF, “the interactive event explores ways that the election of Barack Obama, the emergence of the Tea Party, and the shifting national political landscape have both strengthened and diminished Hip-Hop’s effectiveness at mobilizing young people.”

The panel will feature LYVEF executive director, Rob “Biko” Baker; rapper/activist, Jasiri X; 2008 Green Party vice-presidential candidate, Rosa Clemente; Angry White Boy author, Adam Mansbach; and moderator/political analyst, Bakari Kitwana.
