(AllHipHop News) Washington, D.C. rapper Wale is in hot water with officials in the city of Baltimore, after he used profanity and racial slurs during a free-city event on Sunday (July 18th). The rapper was the headlining act at Artscape when he allegedly used the objectionable language during a performance. According to Tracy Baskerville of the Office of Promotion and the Arts, they were “deeply disturbed” by Wale’s crass language and apologized to anyone who may have been offended. Last month, Wale drew headlines when he pulled out of a performance at the D.C Black Pride event for the LGBT community, allegedly due to a “scheduling conflict.”After pressure, the rapper eventually agreed to show up at the event, where he apologized to the LGBT community for any misperceptions the scheduling conflict may have caused. ”One thing I stand for is hip hop music. And hip hop music knows no race, no color, no age, no gender, no sexual orientation — none of that,” Wale said. “So, the most important thing about it is the music, and if it makes the people feel happy, that’s what we hear.”
