Mr. Jones used his official Twitter to address the issue, “Setting the Record Straight,” he wrote to his 275K followers. Being proactive, he contacted local authorities in the city in which the supposed crime was said to have taken place. A challenge was then offered to anyone who questioned his credibility. “Call the Sgt of the City where they say the rumor happened n see what he say,” he declared.
