Def Jam Records
and Sprite have teamed to give music lovers the chance to attend the "Sprite/Def
Jam University." The University is a three day clinic in New York City
where winners will learn the ins and outs of the music business, including marketing,
video production, recording and producing.
The contest started on June 5th and will run
through July 31, 2002. You can look under the cap of specially marked Sprite
20 ounce cans and one liters to see if you will be one of the five winners who
get to attend. "Def Jam is excited about this partnership with Sprite,"
said Def Jam President Kevin Liles. "We are a lifestyle company that happens
to sell music. Hopefully the winners of this campaign will get an understanding
of the type of commitment we have to the artists and our culture."
The winners will attend the University this fall.
Each winner will receive a three-day, all-expense paid trip to New York City
to attend the Sprite & Def Jam University, as well as a MadPlayer(TM) digital
music player. MadPlayer(TM), a product of MadWaves Inc., is a soon-to-be released
hand-held, multi-functional, portable music player/recorder. MadPlayer(TM) technology
allows users to generate music that can be played, changed, and shared with
others.
