Rapper Xzibit has announced plans to launch his own shoe line with athletic footwear
manufacturer Dada, for a two-year endorsement.
Commonly known
on the hip-hop scene, the rapper has been gracing the small and big screens,
as host of the MTV series Pimp My Ride. He’s also appeared in blockbuster
hits “XXX State of the Union,” and “8 Mile” and now
wants to try his hand at shoe design.
“Dada has
always been competitive and respected and I’m excited to design and promote
a shoe that represents both of us so well.” Xzibit said in a statement.
Dada CEO Lavetta
Wells adds, ““Xzibit defines pop culture and his success in crossing
various markets makes him the ultimate representative of the Dada brand.”
A press conference
and launch campaign are well in the works, to be announced at a future date.
The Dada Supreme
brand is carried in nationwide footwear retailers such as Footlocker and has
been spotted on celebrities such as DJ Quick, Dr. Dre and Jessica Simpson.
