Young Mormons Flock To See Kanye West Preach In Salt Lake City

Kanye West hosted his Sunday service in Salt Lake City, where he talked religion and conspiracy theories.

(AllHipHop News) Every time Kanye teases an actual release date for his actual forthcoming album, we’re skeptical.

But one thing that hasn’t missed a beat is his traveling Sunday Services, where he brings an entire choir to turn his biggest hits into gospel songs.

Most recently, Ye was seen in Utah… preaching.

So much so he dropped in on a parade for the Mormons.

The followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are in salt Lake City this weekend for the General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This get-together serves as one of the two “general conferences” that the Mormons put on.

Kanye set up his camp right across the street from the Gateway Center, where the Mormons were hosting their conference.

In a video uploaded to Twitter, fans are seen swarming the premises once the gate is opened.

If someone was there for the Mormons, they may have been distracted by the sudden herd of people.

In more videos posted online, Ye can be viewed preaching about a variety number of topics to the crowd, including God, social media, and social perceptions.

“Do not read comments on the internet,” Kanye told over 8,000 people. “These people don’t know you like that. Social media is designed to make you think slower. … They want to slow you down and control you.”

Kanye’s sermon aligned perfectly as his hit song “Jesus Walks” blared in the background.

Kanye continued to preach to the people, something he’s done his entire rap career.

“I ain’t never make a decision based only on my color,” Kanye West said.

“That’s a form of slavery — mental slavery. I ain’t drink from the white person fountain. … I ain’t playing with them. All these mind controllers, the media, all of these mind controllers. I find that wherever Christ is where I’ve got my mind at. We find that the love of Christ is where I’ve got my mind back,” he said.
