My mind warps and bends, floats the wind, count to ten, meet the twin Andre Ben welcome to the lion’s den. Original skin many men comprehend, I extend myself so you go out and tell a friend. Sin all depends on what you believing in, faith is what you make it that’s the hardest s### since MC Ren. Alien can blend right on in wit’ yo’ kin look again ’cause I swear I spot one every now and then. It’s happenin’ again wish I could tell you when, Andre this is Andre y’all is just gon’ have to make amends. –Andre 3000 “Aquemini” from OutKast’s Aquemini (1998)Steve RazeDJ Drama featuring Outkast and Marsha Ambrosius “Art Of Storytelling Pt. 4” Outkast delivers one of the hottest tracks of the year. The flow is CRAZY and Marsha Ambrosius worked the hook just right. You can always rely on an Outkast track to freshen up Hip-Hop. Kathy IandoliDJ Drama featuring Outkast and Marsha Ambrosius “Art Of Storytelling Pt. 4” This is that marching music. After that whole Idlewild
situation, I was a little shaky on the shape of things to come from one
of my favorite duos. Then again, I can’t lie, I can live off Dre’s
verse and the hook alone. This should be the AHH National
Anthem. Oh-oh-oh-no! Ya can’t stop us! ODeiselMemphis Bleek featuring Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel “The Hypnotic”Since the Roc boys seem to be back in the building, including Free with a banger, AG in the house, and Beans on the way, I had to go back to the unsung first son of the Roc. This 2003 heat from Bleek’s M.A.D.E. album features Bleek, Beans, and the Big Homie on an ill album cut. Everyone holds their own and brings three distinct flavors to the brew. Hidden jewel on an underrated album.
AquaBusta Rhymes “Step Up”Mick Boogie and Busta combine for a Dilla tribute called Dillagence. How could you go wrong? Busta freaks a Greg Nice flow. Dilla lives. Dove DJ Drama featuring T.I., Nelly, Twista, Diddy, Jeezy, Yung Joc & Willie The Kid “5000 Ones” I’m a fan of great collaborations, and Drama did it up on this first single from his upcoming album. Funny thing is, I was at the video shoot and never heard the whole song, so it was a pleasant surprise to get the whole package (sans T.I. on the video tip, as he was arrested the day prior). I dig this video because every time you watch it you’ll see someone else in the frame, and I think the love people showed Drama at the shoot really shines through. That’s Hip-Hop!
