Over the years there have been allegations that Dr. Dre has a history of violence against women. Some of the said victims are Tairrie B, Michel’e,Dee Barnes… and other women have experienced violence at the hands of Dr. Dre. Some women feel Dre has evaded being held accountable for his violence against black women for years. The Hip Hop mogul and producer is experiencing great reviews on the NWA biopic “Straight Outta Compton” and it’s soundtrack, but people want him to address the real “BEATS by Dre” issues. A writer for the Harriet Editorial by the name of Crystal Irby stated that when it comes to high-profile perpetrators of violence against women, society is more than eager to move past their transgressions. Bill Cosby has had to come face to face with his past, should Dr. Dre? Or has it been “settled,” and it should be left in the past?
