Fergie Is Sorry She Screwed Up The National Anthem - AllHipHop

Fergie Is Sorry She Screwed Up The National Anthem

By Ne’ Richa (@iAmNeRicha) (AllHipHop Rumors) Artistically, Fergie is one of those artists who always thinks outside the box and aims to be more than just your typical Pop Star. Usually, this is best as it’s great to have the balls to push the envelope. BUT. If there’s one time when it’s most important to stick to the standards…it’s when you are booked to sing the prestigious National Anthem. It’s the one time when people of all nationalities, creeds, genders, and orientations are brought together in solitude. Fergie missed the memo and she took her time to shine and used it to sing an…interesting…rendition of the song. In the process, basketball players such as Steph Curry and Draymond Green did little to hide their own sentiments. Curry even liked a status on Twitter expressing how bad of a job Fergie did. She expressed that she “tried her best”, but in all honesty, sometimes your best is sometimes not good enough! “I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” Fergie said in an apologetic statement. I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly, this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.” If you happened to miss it, check out the performance below: https://www.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5cOvyDpWfM&q=EgQs6lVwGLCPg_kFIhkA8aeDS9MYu1lA_ZhBMDI52oDAIgGrv5K6MgFy
