DID AKON SIGN FOXY BROWN?

There is this rumor that Foxy Brown signed a deal with Akon. What do you think of that? I think Foxy still has potential, especially since the female rapper seems to be a declining breed. From what I understand, Foxy’s got to mend some ties at her fan site foxboogie.com to help her get back.

R.I.P. FOR THE BLACK EYED PEAS

I have some bad news from the Philippines and I think this is 100% try. The police over there say a brother of apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas has been murdered from a gunshot wound. According to early reports, Joven Pineda Deala (the brother) was shot in the head Tuesday while he and his girlfriend ate in his car. They were parked outside of her house. He was only 21. No motive and no suspects. Definitely offer my condolenses to apl.de.ap, whose real name is Allan Pineda Lindo.

NEW UPDATE ON RAY-J

My homey hit me up on a Ray J /Whitney rumor a ways back. Well, he is back and he’s got more information. Since the show started, there is new intel and more clarifying to do. From the previous rumor, you may recall that the true nature of Ray’s whole connection to Whitney is rooted in his relationship with her “goddaughter.” Well, the girl on the show is named Lil B. Well that is Ms. Houston’s goddaughter and the true way Ray and Whitney met, from what I understand. . If you check Ray’s myspace, that same Lil B is on his top as Babi Doll. I heard they are about to start Season 2 already. How crazy is that? Ray-J really is the new Flavor Flav of Love.

CHUBB ROCK IS BACK!

I know there are some that don’t remember Robocop, much less Chubb Rock! But I remember him! He’s dope and he’s back! From what I understand, he’s already finished a new album and it is in he process of being mastered or something. Anyway, I understand that Erick Sermon did some of the beats, along with some others. I love and respect the old school so Iook forward to it.

ETTA JAMES HAS WORDS FOR BEYONCE?

AW man. I don’t like to hear this stuff, because I think there has to be unity within the generations. That may not be the case though. Etta James, who Beyonce played in some movie last year, is taking it to her younger counterparts NECK! The reason there hasn’t been a video for “Swagger Like Us” is because the guys just can’t get together. We can’t keep Kanye in the country, we can’t keep Jay off a boat, and we can’t get Wayne off the (tour) bus. But we’ll all be together for the Grammys. I doubt we’ll even be able to rehearse because of everybody’s busy schedules. We may just step on stage. (Laughs) [He promises surprises at the show though].
