Rumors recently swirled about icon Janet Jackson allegedly having throat cancer, leading fans to believe this was the reason some of her shows were being cancelled and postponed. Jackson addressed the reports about her health online by saying she does not have cancer.
“The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I am recovering,”
Jackson said in a video released on her Twitter account. The video was accompanied by a caption that said
“From my lips…”
She went on to say,
“Thank you for your prayers and love.”
Janet announced in December that she would postpone several 2016 dates on her “Unbreakable” world tour, as she had been advised to have surgery. RadarOnline speculated that she was undergoing tests for a growth on her vocal chords that could be cancerous. Despite Janet’s “Unbreakable,” album charting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, there have been rumors that those around her have been exaggerating her health issues because tickets to her concerts aren’t selling well. It has been said that they want to get a few headlines and arrange a “come back” tour effect. Hmmmmm.
