(AllHipHop Rumors) Producer beat battles are nothing new of the sort, but each one proves itself to be more and more epic than the last at times.
After all, there is nothing like a great showcasing of talent, and a chance for producers to run down their hits in the battle.
A few weeks ago Swizz Beatz and Just Blaze had an epic battle, and it looks like some prominent Atlanta producers are looking to bring that energy down south!
Lex Luger has now challenged fellow producer Southside to a beat battle where the winner will win $50,000.
Southside acknowledged the proposal, but decided to up the reward to $100k.
“So, I wake up. I got a DM from Lex Luger talking about a beat battle with me, Metro, and Sonny. Lex, this is $50,000… until you got a whole 100 on you you can gamble with, bro, don’t hit me talking about no beat battle … put a whole hundred on the table and we can beat battle,” said Southside.
Soon after, Lex Luger responded saying that he’d battle any producer. Southside couldn’t just accept the challenge. LOL. He instead had to go on Twitter to suggest that Luger wasn’t truly getting a large amount of money for his beats.
“I tell u what tell a n-gga get the hunnid grand and show it to me @SmokedOutLuger and not 6k and a 2003 bens and I’m on,” said Southside.
There isn’t a set date for the beat battle yet but producers like Drumma Boy, and Zaytoven’s names have been suggested too. Metro Boomin’ has even joked that he’s a little over $99k short to participate. Shawty Redd has even said don’t call him until producers are actually ready to make songs on the spot, and not play songs.
