Now this included herself, so a lot of people decided not to ride with her calls for a boycott of the streaming monolith. The problem or lack of problem is that she may be right.
MediaTakeOut – remember them – is stating that she was! Why? Apparently, Tiffany Haddish is getting about $800k for her special on Netflix , a far cry from the monies that other celebrities have gotten – Amy Schumer $11M deal – and Dave Chappelle/Chris Rock – $20 million apiece – you get the picture. Netflix seems like a cool company to work at, but they are also running a major business.
Tiffany Haddish is hot right now, but is she on the level of those other comics? I’m not so sure even though I do think she commands more than $800k. She ain’t talking so we cannot really ascertain what is fact and what is fiction. We really need to see what other acts got, not just a few. Mo’Nique turned down $500k, but I would shank a small rabbit with a dull razor for that money right now.
