(AllHipHop News) West Coast pioneer MC Big Hutch a.k.a. Cold 187Um surprised his fans early this morning with a new album. The latest release, titled The Big Hit was produced entirely by the rapper, who decided to release the album just 12 hours after alerting his fans. Big Hutch decided to release the album on his own West World Records label, which is being distributed by The Big Shot Music Group. “I didn’t want to do the same ole ‘pre-hype’ type of promotion with this project. I have a long enough history with my fans to where I can just get the word out and be like here is my new album…go get it, without all the fluff and drag,” Big Hutch told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Most of the time when I do pre-hype a release, my fans want it right then and there anyways. They don’t want to have to wait a month or two for it to drop. I’m giving my fans what they really want, a record from me that they can purchase within a few hours of knowing about the release.” The Big Hit is the follow-up to Big Hutch’s last official album, The Only Solution, which was released on The Insane Clown Posse’s Psychopathic Records. Big Hutch said he left Psychopathic Records, after division in the Juggalo fan community arose over Big Hutch’s involvement with The Insane Clown Posse and the label. The West Coast legend is also preparing two new releases, titled Live From Hell’s Kitchen and O.G. Since 1967 in addition to a collaborative album titled I Am The True Definition Of Hip-Hop with his protegé, Cali Barnes.
